In January 2008 I was harassed by a very troubled woman named Kathryn Carrado. I do not say that to be malicious. I mean it sincerely. If pictures paint a thousand words, her photo speaks for itself. She has a vindictive look in her eyes. Here is her photo  **** SHE IS NOT A CLIENT ******

She sells witchcraft books on ebay (the titles almost seem harmless, such as yoga, etc. until you see the white book on the right titled, "Wicked") and has a troubled history according to her court records showing several "harassment" cases (a California private investigator pointed me to her civil records). Very fitting. She accused me of plagiarizing a resume that she says in writing she wrote three years ago. I HAVE BOTH CLIENT & OFFICIAL ELECTRONIC PROOF AT ARCHIVE.ORG THAT I WROTE IT SEVEN YEARS AGO - Four years before her bogus claim! Worse, she got caught in her lie when I called to ask about her work history and she choked, back peddled and tried to say it was only the profile, but perpetuated her lies to the public by claiming it was the entire resume, all the while failing to acknowledge my evidence, even when I kept asking her why she was not acknowledging the evidence. It was so obvious! Proof is proof. It can't be ignored by those who want to know the truth and uphold the truth. 

The fact is, I wrote it four years before her phony date of authorship. Whether she stole the profile or the whole resume remains a mystery because she has never shown the public her supposed resume! When cornered and exposed like a lying rat, she defamed my name on the Internet to get even. She doesn't even know me. I'm sure she regrets what she did by now because she tried to do it anonymously, but I did extensive research to prove it was her and she came out of hiding with boxing gloves on for about two rounds and then flew away on her broom into oblivion. She had no idea what she was getting herself into and how far I would go to defend my good name -- and to PROVE her WRONG.

I have asked her repeatedly to show me her resume and her supposed proof e.g. dated envelopes. Why hasn't she presented proof that the resume is hers? It would be so easy to do. Remember, she has stated that the entire resume is hers -- "word for word" Where is this resume? She stated she wrote the resume three years ago. Once I proved (not just said -- but PROVED) to her that I wrote it seven years ago, she spit out a few more nasty words and then backed off. Just words -- no proof. Not even in the slightest. She is a real estate agent. She did her best to brand herself as a "professional writer" but couldn't support that claim.

I already know the answer to why she has NOT been able to present proof. When I questioned her on the phone about the rest of the resume, she choked. She could not intelligibly discuss the rest of the resume because it was so tailored to my client. She couldn't carry the lie that far. It was easier to lay claim to a general profile. There is even more to why I believe she couldn't present proof. As you will see in this report, she denied knowing anything about what she did when I emailed her privately. I literally had to expose her to the public. Once I did that, she had a sudden recollection. Trust me, the plot thickens.

I received an email from a woman named Kathryn Carrado wanting to know how I had her resume and who gave me permission to put it up on my website. This woman is NOT a client. She is a complete stranger. There were apparently two earlier emails that I deleted thinking they were junk. I immediately called her in California to confirm that she was the one who sent the email and/or to clear up any misunderstandings. I had to Google her because she never provided her telephone number. If the matter was so urgent, why is that?

I do not know who this woman Kathryn Carrado is or why she has made these false allegations that I stole the verbiage of a resume she wrote three years ago and put it on my website, because I wrote the resume seven years ago. And the resume has been on my website for five years.

After extensive research, I have a really good idea who she is and why she has done what she did.

Part of me wants to say that Kathryn Carrado plagiarized my work. But I honestly do not even believe that she has a resume. I think there is a more sinister plot behind her actions.

My suspicions are based on a college grad (32 years old) who hired me for a resume critique report (not to write his resume). We'll call him T.W. We never spoke on the phone. When I told him I would do his resume for the resume critique report fee and that he'd have it in one day instead of three business days, he was very happy. In fact, he emailed me, "You Rock." As I customarily do when I send a draft out, I asked him to proofread the resume and to forgive any typos because I needed to step away from it for a few hours before any typos popped out at me. Well, he noticed there were a few misspellings in the draft and was extremely hostile and nasty about it. His attitude really shook me up. I studied his resume trying to understand why the dictionary was not picking up the misspellings.

Once I figured it out, I explained to him that his document's dictionary was set to French, the language he was taking in school. He accepted that. When I do a resume critique report, I do not create a new file. I use the existing resume that a client emails me since I am not creating a new resume from scratch. I made the corrections and promptly emailed it back to him, along with a note stating that I didn't understand why he was so hostile toward me when only the day before I "rocked." He became very defensive and responded with extreme vulgarity and outright threats to hurt my reputation using several social networks. The nature of his threats was something I was vaguely familiar with. It reminded me of chemical warfare.

I emailed him and called him to ask him to reconsider those actions, as they were so extreme and unnecessary.. He ended up emailing me, "I'm over it," but wouldn't offer more reassurance than that. His resumes indicated that he was president of a "business ethics committee" at school. His MySpace site indicates that he is passionate about politics and points out why our country's leaders are, well ... I can't repeat it here because it is too vulgar. It became clearer and clearer to me that he is very angry and suffers from some sort of superiority complex.

One month after this unnerving encounter with T.W., Kathyrn Carrado contacted me out of the blue in such an irrational manner that now seems like a bad movie plot. Ironically, she then carried out the very attack that T.W. threatened me with only weeks before. After extensive research, I have pieced together many "coincidences" that point to them knowing one another. For example, they both take French (Kathryn Carrado has a page out on the Internet at meetup.com stating that she is at the beginner level of French. They are both from San Diego. They are both real estate agents. And their political views are the same (listed on both of their MySpace pages, including strong political views and anger over 9/11 "conspiracies"). The similarities between the two are uncanny and extensive. These are only a handful of commonalities that I can piece together because they are online and because I polished his resume. I'm sure there are a lot more.

When I presented my findings to a private investigator in California, he agreed that they must know one another and that either T.W. asked Kathryn Carrado to do what she did or she volunteered. Why would she do such a favor for T.W.? Because T.W. knows that if he carried out the threats, he would risk an online battle with me and his name would be Googled by companies during his job search. Even though he is a real estate agent, that is not his long ranged career goal. I cannot disclose too much about him in the event that I am mistaken about my theory. Plain and simple - she has less to lose. 

She has told the world that I do not write my resumes and that I steal them. In order to prove that I have thousands of clients, I asked my clients to join my Naymz network and provide a testimonial for me. In two weeks, I reached the highest reputation level possible. 

Had one of Kathryn Carrado's lying words been true, I would not have been able to reach out to anyone to help me. But every single word she said is the complete opposite of who I am and what my business stands for. For example, she claims I do not write my resumes. I have thousands of clients that I worked very closely with on the development of their resumes -- and they have come to my defense. She claims the resume in question is hers. I was able to produce physical and electronic proof that the resume is mine, resulting in her finally backing down without producing a shred of evidence beyond slanderous words.

Why hasn't she presented proof that the resume is hers? It would be so easy to do. Remember, she has stated more than once that the entire resume is hers -- "word for word." Where is this resume? She said I copied it "as is" because I couldn't format a document. I have developed all of my resumes. In fact, I have a reputation for creating "designer" resumes. I have also created at least a dozen websites, including the one she visited to pick and choose a resume sample as her weapon of choice to hurt me.

If I am off base, then she visited my website and stole the resume PROFILE (only), and then later forgot where she got it from and then claimed ownership of it. But, I really do think the scenario that she knows T.W. makes more sense. Why would someone go to such lengths over a resume profile? And why would she continue to lay claim to the entire resume when she admitted to me that it was only the profile. I think they are both, or at least she is, very self-righteous angry people. It is amazing how she knew about so many "complaint" sites that I had never heard of! The two of them make a good pair.

I presented proof of resume authorship to Kathryn Carrado and to the public. It is tangible and indisputable. She has offered nothing but empty words. I have not seen one shred of evidence backing up her false claims. In fact, I have never seen her resume! When I questioned her on the phone about her resume, she couldn't back up her claims and stated, "I didn't get that far" {she didn't read the entire resume that is supposedly hers?)

Let's Examine The Facts:

2001: Ann Baehr writes a resume (has client testimonial in writing)
2002: Ann Baehr adds the resume sample to her www.e-bestresumes.com website (that she created herself).
2003. The WayBack Machine makes a PDF of it (and the entire website)
2005: Kathryn Carrado supposedly writes her own resume.
2008: Kathryn Carrado claims her resume is on Ann Baehr's website.

What? How can I write a resume two years before she wrote her resume? That just doesn't make sense.

Three days after the phone call, Kathryn Carrado went to RipOffReport.com and filed this libelous report: www.ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=302516. Note: she listed her name as "Pissed Off In Oakland, California" If she feels she is right, why didn't she list her name? The report is like a bad screenplay. Very contrived, rehearsed and acted out -- full of "drama" and lies. For example, how I remained quiet for one minute. My friends and family laughed their heads off when they heard that. Anyone who knows me know I can't be quiet for long -- unless I'm listening to a client during a consultation. Other than that, I'm a very verbal person. And I was not yelling. My husband confirmed that I was friendly and professional the entire time I spoke with Kathryn Carrado. She knew all along that it was a sting. In hindsight, I now know why she wouldn't reason with me. She had a plan. To take whatever I said and use it / twist it into a pack of defamatory lies in a ripoffreport. She's a real bad spirit.

In response to this libelous report, I released a Web Wire the same day that was later modified after I was asked by the editor to make it less personal (in other words): Here is the Original Web Wire. I sent Kathryn Carrado a private email and she responded the same day:

Can you believe that? She actually denied having any knowledge of the report! See how evil she is?

Later that day, I went to her refi4u2.com to see if I could obtain her IP Address and learned that it was suddenly expired. It was up and running a few days earlier. I took a screenshot of it to prove it. I even spoke with the hosting company in Melbourne, Australia and they confirmed that she allowed it to lapse the end of that week.
