I received an email from a woman
named Kathryn Carrado wanting to know how I had her resume and who gave me permission to put
it up on my website. Kathryn Carrado is NOT a client. She is a complete
stranger. There were apparently two earlier emails that I deleted thinking they
were junk. I immediately called Kathryn Carrado in California to confirm that
she was the one who sent the email and/or to clear up any misunderstandings.
Even though I explained to
Kathryn Carrado that I wrote the resume years ago and discussed the client who I
wrote the resume for, she insisted the resume was hers. When I pressed her to
explain the similarities in the resume, asking her about her professional
experience, she said she didn't get past the "Professional Experience" section.
It was then that I realized she was only referring to the resume profile. She
told me I had one week to take it off my site or else she would file a report
against me. I told her to have fun and hung up.
I do not know who this woman Kathryn Carrado
is or why she has made these false allegations that I stole the verbiage
of a resume she wrote three years ago and put it on my website. I also
do not know why she has gone to such lengths to slander my good name and
reputation once she was proven wrong.
One
thing is clear and backed by tangible proof. I wrote the resume in April of 2001
and it has been on my website for five years. I have presented this
proof to Kathryn Carrado and to the public. It is indisputable.
She has offered nothing but empty libelous words. I have not seen one shred of
evidence backing up her false claims. In fact, I have never seen her
resume!
Let's Examine The
Facts: 2001: Ann Baehr writes a resume (has client testimonial in writing)
2002: Ann Baehr adds the resume sample to her
www.e-bestresumes.com website
(that she created herself).
2003. The WayBack Machine makes a PDF of it (and the entire website)
2005: Kathryn Carrado supposedly writes her own resume.
2008: Kathryn Carrado claims her resume is on Ann Baehr's website.
What? How can I write a resume two years before she wrote her resume?
That just doesn't make sense.

My email to Kathryn Carrado
immediately after we spoke:
Now that I know this email is legit and not someone trying to hurt you, I will
respond to it -- based on our conversation . . .
If and when you take action, I think it is important that you know that the
resume I wrote was written well over three years ago and I have documented proof
of such.
Not only do I
have proof on my own computer and on my client's end, but I have a cache of the
actual resume that was stored on the Internet with the date that the cache was
created that proves the resume was written more than three years ago. You would
have to have written your resume much longer than three years ago for this to
have happened. If you would like to discuss this in a civil, non-threatening
manner, I will be more than happy to tell you the date I created the resume and
the location and date that you can find my official, online proof.

Three days after the phone call,
Kathryn Carrado went to RipOffReport.com and filed this libelous report:

"Pissed Off In Oakland, California" If she feels she is right, why didn't she
list her name?
In response to this libelous report,

plagiarized the resume she wrote herself three years ago.
I presented proof that the resume was archived at archive.org (aka The WayBack
Machine), an independent
source that archives billions of web pages daily. The resume was officially
archived on March 21, 2003 - nearly five years ago, at the following web

I sent Kathryn Carrado a private
email and she responded the same day:
Kathryn,
By now you should know that I have proof of ownership and will not allow you to
get away with defamation and libel.
I've have taken the first step in showing proof to the public. I demand to see
your proof. I will gladly subpoena those companies you mentioned for the
date-stamped records. For your sake, they better date back more than seven years
ago. A personal copy won't do. You are going to need to show proof before March
21, 2003 at the very least; and then proof before April of 2001 to stand up to a
notarized document and file properties details.

Later that day, I went to her
refi4u2.com to see if I could obtain her IP Address and learned that it was
suddenly expired. It was up and running a few days earlier. I took a screenshot of
it to prove it. I even spoke with the hosting company in Melbourne, Australia
and they confirmed that she allowed it to lapse the end of that week.
On Superbowl Sunday, Kathryn Carrado Googled
"Ann Baehr" and visited my Naymz profile and then went to Digg.com and
responded to my post. It is interesting that her eyes weren't rolling
anymore.
I decided to fight fire
with fire by filing a ripoffreport on her, that served more as a
rebuttal against her ripoffreport. The difference is I divulged my name.
She did not like that at all. She fought back with a rebuttal announcing that I am facing formal charges. Here are links to the recent Digg.com exchanges and the recent ripoffreports and rebuttals (I
was given permission by email from ripoffreport to file a rebuttal).
Kathryn Carrado also posted the identical "ripoffreport" at
pissedoffconsumer.com, so I returned the favor.

KATHRYN CARRADO FAILS TO ACKNOWLEDGE ANN BAEHR'S PROOF
Kathryn Carrado keeps
telling everyone that I only have bogus news releases as proof, such as
the one at the top of this page -- only because I released it, but never
acknowledges that I have presented the archive.org link. In all
of her comebacks, she is vile, accusing, and sarcastic. But she still
never presents proof. She includes a "full story" link in several of her
posts that is merely a duplicate of her original ripoffreport that got
her into this mess. How can the beginning of the story be the full
story?
KATHRYN CARRADO FAILS TO PRESENT HER PROOF
Where are the date-stamped envelopes that she claims exist from the
resumes she sent to companies three years ago? They better have the
cancelled stamps from the U.S. Post Office dating back to October 2002
because the WayBack Machine's archives are typically posted six months
after they are actually cached.
They also better show the label where she
mailed it because I will definitely file a lawsuit to have the companies
contacted to verify that they know her and received her resume before
March 21, 2003. She also mentioned there were more than one company, so
if she has a family member who is going to help her whip something up,
it won't work. There will be a full investigation done. Unlike her, I'm
not kidding.
Since I have never seen Kathryn Carrado's
resume that she supposedly wrote, the only writing samples of hers that
I have seen have been her complaints and blog posts.
In her profile at LinkedIn, she actually used a part of the profile from
my resume sample for her summary (to see the summary, you will need to
be a member of LinkedIn to view her profile. There is no fee). When you
log in, search for her by name.
You can clearly see where my writing ends and hers begins. See a bit
further down this page for the images. Then do a
side-by-side to see what I mean. Resume writing is a well-honed craft
that she obviously has not developed. Her wording is terrible. In fact,
it doesn't even make sense. The sentence structure is a mess and the
grammar and punctuation is horrible.
She will probably rush to change it or delete it after reading this. But
that won't do her any good. I have taken a screenshot of it. If it
changes, I am going to post the before and after so you can see for yourself.
Update:
It is interesting that she now has two profiles, one with the
summary and one without the summary. If you search for her in Google and
come across her LinkedIn profile you can access it and choose between
the two. You will need to log in to see them.
Also, in one of my Digg posts, I mentioned
that she referred to herself on her Web Space page under occupation as "Suzi
Homemaker." After reading that, she promptly replaced it with her
American Dream Mortgage & Realty of California, Inc. details, as well as
added a new profile to her Technorati and LinkedIn profiles. It seems to
me she is going to great lengths to improve her image now that I am
exposing her for who and what she really is.

As predicted, Kathryn Carrado ran and
changed it -- AGAIN! Just refer to the above version. Those are her
true writing skills. She must have had some assistance to do what you
see below -- from a resume samples site or book. Now that she knows she
is being watched and judged she is correcting her mistakes and promoting
herself as a writer in an effort to make claim to the resume profile
that she stole three years ago.
Anyone can see that the verbiage below
was written by a professional resume writer.
It is so obvious! There is NO WAY she
wrote this on her own! No way in a million years!
Why does a President & CEO of a realty
company need to promote themselves so vigorously as a professional
writer?
For Kathryn Carrado to tell the world that I do
not write resumes is outrageous. To tell the world that I steal them is
libel.
The burning question that everyone is
asking is this: Why is she doing this? What does she have to gain?
The answer is a mystery to me.
She obviously visited my website three years ago, copied the profile, and lost track of her actions. Years
later when she saw the resume again on my website under my resume samples section, she saw
what she perceived to be her resume because she lost track of how she
got the profile three years ago and overreacted. Remember, the resume
sample has been on my website for five years. Why
was she looking at my resume samples in the first place if she is
capable of writing her own resume? Again, we're only talking
about the profile.
When indisputable evidence was presented,
I thought for sure she would realize and admit she made a mistake.
Instead, she continues to promote her false claims.
I am still waiting for
Kathryn Carrado to show me her resume. I would also like to see the date-stamped
envelopes proving she mailed her resume to several
companies years ago. Those envelopes need to include the cancelled U.S. postage stamps. I am also waiting for
her to back up her statement that I am facing formal charges. I would love nothing more than to once and for all prove
her
wrong. I have announced that I have won in a court of public opinion.
That is a fact.
